Jeremiah Brewington
President
Jeremiah Brewington, born and raised in Alaska, is an 18-year U.S. Army veteran whose service instilled in him a deep sense of discipline, resilience, and camaraderie. After service, he found renewed purpose by volunteering with organizations that support fellow veterans, helping to foster community and healing among those who’ve served. Today, Jeremiah applies his technical expertise as a certified Aircraft Maintenance Technician (A&P), ensuring the safety and reliability of aircraft with the same precision and dedication that defined his military career.

Hunter is a U.S Army veteran who worked on Apache Helicopters at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. He now owns and operates Nomad Barber Co in Wasilla.
After completing the 2025 Iron Dog, he found purpose in helping other veterans complete extremely difficult tasks that required teamwork, consistency and the willingness to learn. He will be leading this year’s warriors to Nome in the 2026 Iron Dog.
Alyssa LaComb-Brown

From Ogdensburg, NY Alyssa moved to Alaska in 2023. She works as an ASL Interpreter with a deep rooted passion in community.
Butch Bologna
Director of Operations
Butch came to Alaska over 30 years ago with a young family and a dream to live the Alaskan life. He is married to his wife Kelli of 40 years and together have 2 adult children and 3 grand children.
His love for Alaska and all it has to offer has kept him busy over the years. He spent years on the back of a dog sled covering thousands of miles across Alaska. With the dog sled life now behind him, he now has focused his attention to snowmachines and completed the 2024 Iron Dog race from Big Lake to Nome Alaska. He was a little league coach for many years, involved with Lions club, a volunteer firefighter and today is a retired law enforcement officer.
He is a U S Navy veteran who proudly served his country.
Jillene Funk
Secretary/Treasurer
Born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan! She has lived in Alaska for 15 years and is the owner of Jillene Funk Country Financial. “I love to support our veteran community as this is how I honor my father, a Vietnam Veteran!” In her spare time she is involved with anything to do with our veteran and military communities. Jillene loves exploring the outdoors, camping, dancing Rodeo and traveling.
